    good purchase - 4 stars
    Antenna Headphones for Xm Review
A Tweeters store in Harrisburg Pa is going out of business and I had to stop and see what kind of bargains were there. Among the goodies were these headsets. I ve seen the below average reviews here and I really didn t want to spend $30 on these, when the built in antenna on my Inno seemed adequate. When I saw them marked down to $7 I couldn't resist. Even if the headphone connection messes up, as it seems to have happened to so many others, I really didn't risk that much.

So far I ve had them for a few days and the times I have used them they do seem to do the trick..no dropouts on a walk that previously had many with the built in antenna. They are a little on the uncomfortable side, but not overbearing. I like to record certain songs or programs on XM when I m in the car, and with the antenna attached, the signal is always there.

Of course I m waiting for the set to stop working, but for $7 it s worth the risk.

Headphones are OK - 3 stars

I have only used them a couple of times and I am actually just going to use them for an antenna when I am traveling. They seem to add, at the most, two signal strength bars but most of the time just one. I would rate the antenna as ok but would not reccommend for them headphone use.
Xm Inno Headphones - 4 stars
    Antenna Headphones for Xm Review
I bought these even though a good number of reviewers complained about them being uncomfortable. First time I used them, I felt the same way and thought I may have wasted my money. Then, I tried them just as an antenna, with my usual exercise headphones attached at the same time for listening. I found that with the Inno headphones resting around my neck, I had a lot of signal dropouts. Plus, I had way too many wires hanging down from using both sets of headphones at the same time. Finally, I tried the Inno headphones by themselves once again, making a few adjustments until they finally felt comfortable. It was all about simply adjusting them to the right length, and then they were fine for my usual routine of 30-45 minutes of speedwalking. Properly adjusted they were no longer uncomfortable, though I suspect wearing them for more than an hour at a time would be about all I'd want to handle. I would not recommend the headphones for running. They slipped off my head easily when I tried running for a minute or two. Sound quality is fine for talk radio, and adequate for music. Overall, not bad at all.
Why the antenna part of the phones fail - 3 stars
    Antenna Headphones for Xm Review
Failure of the antenna part of the Belkin head phones is caused by the extreamly thin wire strands inside the headset cord braking. I had a Roady 2 portible purchased in 2006 that used the same phones with a different plug end and I had the same problems. I purchaed 3 phones over 2 years. They don't make them anymore so I purchased a Inno and I see I will be getting the same problems as before. If the wire inside the cord had more strands, the headsets would work better, longer. Here are some tips on making the headsets last longer.

Never tug on the cord when removing the plug from the radio and be careful when pluging the cord in the radio not to pinch or put any pressure on the cord.

Try to keep the cord from swinging as you walk or jog.

Don't let the cord bend sharply in one place a lot of times. Easy to do where the cord inters the radio plug end.

    Hope this helps

Good antenna for the Inno2, only fair as headphones - 3 stars
    Antenna Headphones for Xm Review
These headphones are for for use with the Pioneer Inno2 portable XM satellite receiver. Their primary benefit is the XM antenna built into the headband of the unit. As an antenna, the unit works well.

As headphones go, though, they are less than optimal. They use a design where miniature speakers go into your ears. Sony markets headphones of similar design, without with the XM antenna. Many people claim to find these headphones unbearably uncomfortable. I find them to be barely tolerable in terms of comfort. Look at the product picture and you can see how the speakers will project into your ears, entirely unlike ear buds.

Some people report just looping this unit around their neck to use the antenna, while plugging their favored headphones into the 3.5mm jack. The Belkin headphones terminate in a proprietary connector.

    Sound quality is adequate.

Essentially, if you have an Inno2 and use it as a portable receiver, you want this unit. But you just might wind up wearing it around your neck to use the antenna, whie using your favorite mobile headphones or ear buds.

    Jerry
