For printing documents, the iP100 can print black-and-white documents at up to 20 ppm and color documents at up to 14 ppm.
Print from Macs and PCs and Directly from Cameras The Canon PIXMA iP100 is compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Mac OS X v 10.2.8 to 10.5.x, connecting via a USB interface. I purchased the Canon iP100 mobile printer and I love it. My need was for a small, light weight printer to travel with me on work assignments in the U.S. and abroad. It works great as a basic word document printer, but it also prints beautiful pictures. It will be a great companion with my laptop computer. |

The quality of the prints is very good-excellent.
My only complaint is the small size/capacity of the ink cartridges. But that may be inevitable with more compactness. |

Great little printer, if you know its limitations. I use it mainly to print out checks. Much better than hand-written. It is noisy, but what printer isn't. I would recommend this for small jobs. The printer is a bit larger than I imagined, but it fits nicely into a pull-cart. |

The printer is a perfect size for traveling - I don't need the battery, so it's a good weight too.
It produces great quality prints, albeit a little slow and the printer processor seems to require a lot of time to "think" |

I had researched the IP v90 for almost a year before the IP 100 came out and I'm so glad I waited. The set up was easy, the output is fantastic and I couldn't ask for a better printer to travel with.
I may not use its photo printing capabilities to its fullest since I have a regular home printer (another Canon) but it's good to know I have the option. One small nitpicky thing though...I still don't understand why these companies do not include a printer cable with their products. They're cheap enough to come with the product so why not include it? |
