WARNING: This book may cause you to lose sleep, ignore your responsibilities, and slack off at work until you finish it. "The Woods" was impossible to put down. It was one of those books that you just had to know what happens and you can't wait to find out. The story of Paul Copeland and the mysteries that he solves will make you feel like you're right there with him, you'll be theorizing and guessing about what you think happened. This book was incredible! I would highly recommend it!

I've read every book by Harlan Coben & this one is hands down the best one written. The story line keeps you from wanting to put it down and the characters are detailed & believeable. I love the sarcasm in this book & highly recommend the audio book version as well. The reader, Scott Brick, has an excellent voice & really makes the story pop.

Okay here's is my very own thoughts. This book started out a bit interesting in the first two or three chapters. But then after that, then came the introduction of all these other different characters. This just completely lost me! The most annoying thing about this book is when the writer used all these strange words and acronyms such as KGB and the list goes on and on. I mean how does he expect the reader to understand some of the things written in this book? There were times when this book actually held my attention and other times where no matter what, it would just not keep me interested. The entire plot/storyline of this book became so, extremely confusing to the point where I just wanted to throw this book away or burn it. And I find this camp thing very childish. Here you have a story about some teens being murdered AT A SUMMER CAMP because a girl teased a guy? I mean it's just soo ugh! So childish and stupid! This story was for me, extremely complicated. And I do not look forward to purchasing anymore Harlan Coben books. But if you are an individual who likes to buy and read foolishness then yes I highly recommend this piece of garbage to you! And also I did not like the ending too much. This could have been much better!

As far as thrillers go this was very good. The characters were deep and enthralling, keeping your interest all the way through. There was enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and plenty of action. If you enjoy Lee Child`s Jack Reacher books then this will please you. I`m a series fan and enjoy Child and Michael Connelly books immensely, if you like that kind of thriller read the `Soft Target` books by Conrad Jones. They are unputdownable!! Back to the review, ten out of ten.
