    4 stars It's Time For A Lenny Revolution!, December 3, 2008
When I learned Lenny Kravitz was a KISS fan, I began listening to his albums. I am a big believer that no matter who you are, your influences will come across in your music. If I liked KISS, I would probably like Lenny Kravitz. Boy, was I right! This is his latest album, and it is fantastic! Well, there are a few songs I don't really get too excited over, but that's OK. The song "Love, Love, Love" makes up for it all. What a great tune! One reason Lenny's albums feel so honest is that he plays all of the instruments himself. When artists are left to craft their vision without the interference of managers and producers "guiding" them, quality prevails.

Other albums I bought that sound like this are: Sloopjohnd , Baptism and Goddess in the Doorway

    5 stars This may be Lenny's best. . . . . . , November 23, 2008
I have all of Lenny's CD's and I wouldn't rate any of them less than a 4/5, but this one has such a great "flow" to it, and the material is so strong that it may very well be his best ever. Certainly in the top 3. I realize everybody's tastes are so different that rating songs is pretty meaningless, but I love it when other people do so I can compare their views to mine, so I'll rate the songs as follows:

    Love Revolution.................................9/10
    Bring It On.........................................7/10
    Good Morning...................................10/10
    Love, Love, Love................................6/10
    If You Want It.................................10/10
    I'll Be Waiting..................................10/10
    Will You Marry Me.............................8/10
    I Love The Rain.................................10/10
    A Long And Sad Goodbye...............10/10
    Dancin' Til Dawn................................10/10
This Moment Is All There Is...........7/10
    A New Door.........................................10/10
    Back In VietNam..................................9/10
    I Want To Go Home..........................10/10

I think the very best song on the CD is "Dancin' Til Dawn", but the whole thing is just great. Lenny is an awesone talent. . . . .

    5 stars Lenny Kravitz: A One-Man 'Revolution.', September 13, 2008
Many of my friends have an aversion to singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz. I find this curious, considering his ability not only to blend retro garage-rock, soul, funk, reggae, and psychedelic sounds, but because of his multi-talented ability to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and percussion on his albums. To his critics, I say keep an an open mind and give Kravitz's eighth studio album, It Is Time for a Love Revolution, a try. It reveals his gifted proficiency as a singer-songwriter-musician. He wrote, composed, arranged, performed, and produced all fourteen tracks himself. Dare I say that at times the classic-rock guitar work sounds like Kravitz channeling Hendrix? This is arguably the best album Kravitz has ever made, and there is a reason it has topped the charts around the world. Tracks include:

    1. Love Revolution 3:14
    2. Bring It On 3:35
    3. Good Morning 4:17
    4. Love, Love, Love 3:21
    5. If You Want It 5:08
    6. I'll Be Waiting 4:19
    7. Will You Marry Me 3:44
    8. I Love the Rain 4:44
    9. A Long and Sad Goodbye 5:57
    10. Dancin' Til Dawn 5:09
    11. This Moment Is All There Is 5:07
    12. A New Door 4:39
    13. Back In Vietnam 3:45
    14. I Want To Go Home 5:04

not only does Lenny wail the guitar, bump the bass, and bang a sweet beat, this album has a deep spiritual riff. the lyrical content will have you searching your soul. i wonder if Kravitz is Christian. awesome album.
5 stars Lenny Proves There Is Hope!, August 17, 2008
Now let me just start by saying this cd is almost religious! It's so insanely great that I lose my mind when I listen to it and play along to it! It's so full of emotion that is missing from today's pop & rock music. Thank goodness that Lenny still has the blessing of the Gods of great music! If you don't understand the greatness of this album, that embraces all the great music of the past, you are lost.
