Worth the buy, September 6, 2008

This album is mostly intended for those with the xBox 360 version of the game because you can use it to download 3 songs and play them in game. But other than that, it's a decent album (though it could use more tracks).
Guitar Hero 3 Intro- Pretty cool little intro. After all, Slash is an amazing guitarist. Yet there isn't anything special about this song. 8/10
Cherub Rock- I already had this song when I got the album, but I'm not saying it's a bad song. Smashing Pumpkins is a great band and this song is one of there best. 9/10
3's & 7's- I already had this song when I got this album, but again; not saying it's a bad song. In fact it might be one of the best! Queens of the Stone Age did an awesome job composing this. 9/10
Miss Murder- Didn't have this song when I got the album. I never really liked it enough to get it off iTunes. But now that I have this album, it's pretty good. 8/10
Slither- Slash's current band. not much of a fan of Velvet Revolver, but yet still a good song. 8/10
Kool Thing- This song is diffrent from the rest. Sonic Youth is a diffrent band. But it's still okay. 7/10
Cult of Personality (Guitar Hero Version)- Probably the main reason I got this. Living Colour re-recorded it with a solo that was 10 times harder than the orginal. probably my second favorite on the CD. 10/10
Putting Holes In Happiness (Nick Zinner Remix)- This is my favorite song on the CD. I had no idea what this song sounded like until I bought the CD. Nick Zinner remixs the song with a faster beat and awesome guitars. Kinda sounds like something by Nine Inch Nails. 10/10
Tina- Good song by Flyleaf. Though there's nothing much to say about it. Just your average hard rock song. 7/10
Prayer Of The Refugee- Not a fan of Rise Against, but still this is a good song. Goes back and forth from soft to hard rock. 8/10
Devil Went Down to Georgia (Guitar Hero Original)- Everyone has probably heard the classic country version of this song. Well Steve Ouimette preformed a heavy metal version with crazy dual guitar solos. I like this song, but the original is far more better! 9/10
So overall, this is a good album. They could have made it better by putting these songs on:
-Tom Morello Guitar Battle
-Slash Guitar Battle
-Anarchy in the U.K.(Re-recording)
-Number of the Beast
-Through The Fire and Flames
If you already have most of these songs, I wouldn't recomend getting it. But if have a 360 and a copy of the game. Get it for the 3 downloadable songs.

A genuine piece of trash, August 3, 2008
|

This product is a liar. They say you can download the companion pack, but everytime i go to the site, there is no place to type the code that I have. It is a real shame to fake the customers like this. I want a refund!!! This piece of garbage doesn't tell you at least that there is no way to obtain the code. Please buyers, don't buy it!!! Interscope Records really sucks!!!! at all.

What about Wii owner?, March 13, 2008

I'd like a code for Wii so that we can download some new tunes for GHIII. A few songs would fill in my library. You can buy discs like this off BMG for about $7 delivered.
