This Lenmar battery functions as well as the original Kodak battery that came with my Kodak Z612 camera, and it can be bought for a small fraction of the cost of Kodak's model. I have used it for well over a year, and it lasts as long and recharges just as quickly as Kodak's original battery. I do a lot of outdoor photography while hiking and kayaking, and a reliable backup power source is essential to my work. (In fact, I carry two extra fully charged batteries in my camera case because I'm often far away from any vendor that could supply a replacement battery.) I've never kept a precise count, but I estimate that this battery lasts for 250-300 outdoor photographs before needing a recharge. That's good enough for me!

I was hesitant to purchase an aftermarket battery, but it fits my Kodak Z1012 fine and really holds a charge! I got almost a full gig of pictures on a single charge. You can't beat the value!

Don't confuse this battery (DLK-8000 Equivalent) with the DLK-8000 made by Lenmar (which is KLIC-8000 Equivalent). It seems that all the positive reviews in this thread came from folks who bought the actual DLK-8000 battery, which is slightly more expensive than the DLK-8000 equivalent (listed product). So before you buy, make sure you differentiate between the two... That might have something to do with why some pple have problems with the battery being too tight etc...

I love this battery so much I bought 2. I was using rechargeable AA batteries and could only take 10 pictures if I was lucky and then would have to change the batteries. I've taken a ton of pictures before having to recharge this battery.
