do not buy this case, it doesn't work, January 3, 2009
|

I bought this case and took my flip on a snorkelling trip.
After we were done snorkelling and I opened the cover, turned out water had leaked into my camera. My two week old flip camcorder stopped working after that.
Please do not waste your money in buying this.

Looks like it works great, December 31, 2008

I just received it and tested it with some absorbent paper underwater.
I tried all kind of situation, pushed all the button underwater and it looks like it works great.
I also put the flip inside and try turning it on (someone here was not able to turn it on) and it worked as well.

If you buy the underwater case, don't use your camera with it!, December 29, 2008

I thought the Flip and it's underwater case would be perfect for me, since I can't see too well underwater, and camera controls are near impossible-- so I could turn on the camera and go!! I didn't get all that much water inside the case, but it was enough salt water to kill the camera. So all I have now is a dead camera, and no pictures. This product should be withdrawn asap!

Great product to get more from your Flip, December 29, 2008

This is a terrific add-on for the Flip. While I'd certainly recommend testing it before use with a tissue, I've had no reason to worry. It holds up well in the water (although I have not tried rough water yet) and gives you the full functionality of the Flip. It even lets some audio through, although understandably it's rather muted. About the only change I'd make would be to allow the Flip's wrist strap to remain on while it's in the case -- it's awkward to remove and replace multiple times when you're alternating in and out of the water. Overall I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to take their Flip to the beach or pool.

Water proof Case (NOT), December 28, 2008

The first time I went in the water with my new Flip Camera in this Water proof case it leaked. Before I was able to swim a short distance to the reef I noticed air bubbles and before I was able to get back to land my camera was wet and would not work.I called the company in Ca. that makes both camera and case and they have sent me a UPS label and I have returned both now I am wating for the replacements.
