PlayStation 3 G-pak Console Organizer Case Review

This seems to be the only PS3 travel case I've been able to find that isn't a big metal briefcase, and I'm happy to say it performs very well.
There are a few cons to the case and I'll start with those. The zippers are just not well made, simple as that, but for the price it's not a big deal, they zip just might have to tug a few times. The top of the case does not stand up well like in the picture, especially if you have stuff in the top pocket or discs in the sleaves, or if the back is open. That's not that big of a deal cause it's rather large and obnoxios open anyways. The went on the side provide plent of air flow so you can leave it closed. The worst part of the case is the detachable disc sleeve. I was impressed it was detachable, but it does NOT hold the disc in securely. If the sleeve is turned on its side the discs fall out, and there are two rows running opposite directions so it's kinda irritating, but if you're carefully it's tolerable.
The pros are many and I will probably forget some of them. The ventalation even closed is good enough to play for long periods. But if that isn't enough you can open it up and try and get the top to stay open. Or if you are feeling like it you can fold the case almost all the way open without having to unstrap the ps3 from the bottom and leave it completely open to the air. The top pocket is much larger than it looks in the picture and old a huge niko four controller charging station and two controllers with room to spare. Four controllers and cords would be no problem for this thing. The case uses only zippers on the main compartment, everything else is velcro, and good velcro I might add. With the zippers being less then stellar, the velcro is a nice addition. The hand strap and the shoulder strap are both super sturdy and the should strap uses metal clasps and is long enough for even the biggest people to wear comfortably. I've read other places that the straps that hold the PS3 in place scratch the top of the PS3, I could see where this could happen but if you velcro them correctly so there isn't any velcro rubing on the PS3 I can't see a problem, in fact I'm willing to bet the velcro isn't even course enough to scratch the PS3. Besides if you are that worried about tiny scratches you probably shouldn't be transporting it anyways.
The case is well made and isn't some giant behemoth of a metal case. It does it's job well and efficiently. For the price here on Amazon it's an amazing buy.

PlayStation 3 G-pak Console Organizer Case Review

I bought this because I was tire of traveling with the PS3 box and it was beginning to fall apart anyways. Overall I am VERY happy with this product. Its simple and does what it needs to do. I didnt give it a five because I have these two observations which are slight shortcomings but don't compromise my satisfaction that much. 1. The games sleeves are extremely way to lose. Not a single game stays in their compartment unless you double them up. Second: This carrier has two velcro straps that hold the PS3 down against side-to-side shifting but not one that stops back and forth movement. Because of that the PS3 shifts a bit and you need to be carful when you first unzip it after traveling.

If you move your console more than once a year, get this case.
That is all.

This case is light and fairly well designed. Although it's listed as a Playstation 3 G-pak, it's actually a universal case according to the information in the case itself. The only notable "flaw" that I found is there is no good way to store 2 controllers. You can get them in by loading them in front of the main Playstation 3 unit, but there should be a designated area for them. However, when you consider cost and quality, this case is just fine.

Over all this is a good sturdy carrying case. The PS3 fits well in it and the Velcro straps keep it in. You can put four controllers in the top pocket, but there is no room to spare. I put my cords in the case after zipping it up most of the way. The two main grips I have with this case are One- the air is some what restricted while the PS3 is in the case so I always take it out. And Two- I don't like the disk holder. I think that it is a good as they can make it given the case and the fact that it will be in several potions but I have had my disks fall out a couple of times. Overall this is a good case that will serve you well.
