I upgraded from the original composite video (red, white, yellow jacks) that came with my PS2. The picture with the new cable is much less blurry at the edges of letters, text and game characters. Also made a big improvement when watching a DVD.

If u didnt know, reset ur ps3's a/v settings before trying to work these cables. almost returned them cuz i thought they were faulty. hold the power button down from the off position, wait for it to go on, then back off, then let go.

My set supports 1080i so I bought this cable to improve the DVD quality on my PS2. This cable is great. Running the PS2 in 4:3 with the set in 16:9 really improves the image quality overall with this cable. The bonus is it also works with the PS3. I plan to buy one when Sony wakes up and fixes the backwards compatibility issue so I can play my PS2 games on the PS3.

I got this on a massive discount, because at normal price it's a bit of a rip off. That's why I'm giving it four stars. Other than that it's a solid good quality cable that will work with both PS2 and PS3. I use it with my PS2 so that I can get a 480p widescreen signal, which looks a lot better than using the composite connection.

If you need component cables, might as well get name brand ones. Work great with my 1080i Rear Projection Sony TV.
